Sebastian has been with SAP procurement for over 15 years and leads the Procurement Solutions Excellence Team. The Team is responsible to implement and adopt cloud solutions for SAP`s Global Procurement Organization and move procurement towards a value adding enabler role, focusing on cloud, simplification and automation within the end to end P2P process framework. Prior to this he was managing the Procurement Operations team in SAP`s Shared Service Center, he was leading the Post Merger Integration activities, ARIBA Network and Spot Buy implementation projects.

Prior to joining Roche, Martin gained cross industry experience in senior roles in supply chain management, logistics, finance and procurement at BMW AG, Zurich Insurance Company and Swissair Group.

Matthew Bardell

He has deep experience of supply chain strategy, operations and change management as well as procurement, both as a consultant and within industry. Matthew has worked with blue-chip clients across the commercial, financial and public sectors. Prior to GEP, he worked at BearingPoint and Celerant Consulting in London and across Europe. He has specific experience in automotive, chemicals, FMCG, life sciences, manufacturing, paper and print, and retail industries, as well as retail banking and healthcare.  

Warren Myers

Warren Myers is a 25-year veteran of the biopharmaceutical industry experienced both as a scientist and R&D procurement leader.

Following completion of a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1984 from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Warren quickly advanced from research technician at Becton Dickinson Immunocytometry Systems, to senior scientist at Applied Immune Sciences, and Faculty Research Scientist at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Warren’s research focused on applications of cellular immunology and molecular biology to the understanding and treatment of cancer and immune system diseases. Warren joined Bayer’s biotechnology division in 1991 focusing his career on improving drug development productivity. While completing a Master’s degree in Technology Management from Pepperdine University, Warren studied Aerospace, Electronics and Automotive industry outsourcing practices as applied to the Biopharmaceuticals industry. This research enabled Warren to design Bayer’s drug development outsourcing approach.

Warren left Bayer to help Amgen establish its strategic sourcing organization. During his ten years at Amgen, Warren held positions of increasing responsibility culminating in the role of Global Head, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement for Research and Development. Notably, Warren supported conception and drove implementation of Amgen's research and development outsourcing strategies. Warren next spent several years serving the pharmaceutical industry as an independent R&D procurement consultant and as a corporate director of a global CRO.

Warren is presently Vice President and Global Head of R&D Procurement for Takeda Pharmaceuticals and is recognized for his contributions to the advancement of transformational outsourcing and supplier relationship management practices within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.

Dapo has enjoyed a long career with AstraZeneca, holding a variety of senior Operations and Commercial roles. In April 2014 Dapo assumed the role of AZ Chief Procurement Officer accountable for the company’s external spend and supplier base across the end to end value chain. 

Dapo has held a wide variety of leadership roles across the AZ business, most recently VP Global External Sourcing where she was responsible for Operation’s global supply chain related external spend; and VP Cornerstone in GMSO, where she led the development of a new set of company-wide strategic commercial capabilities, ‘the Cornerstone model and mind-set’, and led the team responsible for the Branded Generics business initiative. Previous roles included leadership of the iPR business and UK manufacturing sites and heading the International Project Management and Asset Capability Group.

Arjan van Weele holds the (part-time) NEVI-Chair of Purchasing and Supply Management, at Eindhoven University of Technology, Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences (IE&IS). He acts as an independent boardroom consultant to many large companies on procurement strategy and governance issues. He also acts as Supervisory Board Member for a few companies and organizations.
Before, he worked for 15 years in management consultancy both at Price Waterhouse Coopers (1986-1989) and Holland Consulting Group (1989-1999) where he built his specialised consultancy in purchasing and supply chain management.

Thierry Schulmann

With a specialty in Vascular Pathology, Thierry practiced for many years as a physician in Emergency Medicine. Based in Paris it was a role that placed him at the frontline of secondary care medicine in the well-established French market. His move to leading a private medical care clinic in Moscow opened his eyes and experience to the world of pay-for care and treatment and the dynamics of emerging markets.


Thierry then took his training and working life expertise as a medic to become a leading figure in the healthcare industry. From Brand Team Lead, through Marketing Director to Head of Franchise, facing many strategic challenges en route on behalf of leading healthcare players including Roche, Pfizer and Takeda. 


Beyond his medical training he has immersed himself in a number of therapeutic areas, having the opportunity to launch several assets, including Respiratory, Cardio-metabolic, Oncology and anti-infective.

Having been working on both Customer and Pharma sides, helped Thierry to fully understand needs of all parties and thus provide our partners with accurate vision on how communication and information should be sent and received by our customers.


David McKimm

Quentin holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management of Technology from Arizona State University. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. As a lifelong learner, Quentin has completed Executive Development Programs through both the Thunderbird (The American Graduate School of International Management - Garvin School of Management) International Consortium and Columbia University.

He has lived and worked in5 countries across WE and USA.

Magnus holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineeringfrom the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. Richard worked as an Intensive Care Units Nurse in the UK and Saudi Arabia, before managing a Medical Centre for British Aerospace at a Saudi Arabian airbase. On returning to the UK in 1990, he joined Ciba-Geigy in Pharma sales roles, followed by Sales Management and ultimately CNS portfolio Brand Management. He moved to the CRO sector in 1997 with Covance, then Fisher in Health Economics/Reimbursement and Marketing roles respectively, then setting up a BD and Proposals unit at Quintiles before joining Daiichi-Sankyo in 2005. The subsequent ten years in clinical development outsourcing (moving to Mitsubishi Pharma’s London office in 2009) have included global and EU outsourcing responsibilities ranging from creating a new outsourcing function, to negotiating global CRO agreements and setting up global oversight structure and processes to build long-term, effective, CRO working relationships, working closely with colleagues in Japan and US offices as Global Outsourcing Lead. Joining the Pharmaceutical Contract Management Group (PCMG) industry association in 2006, Richard’s commitment to driving and sharing best practice in Clinical Development Outsourcing was further demonstrated by his role as PCMG Committee Chairman since 2012. In the remaining time available, his other interests include fast bikes, (warm weather) SCUBA diving and learning to sail!

He has also run his own performance consulting business, created an online training programme and written a book. At EcoVadis his role is to create alliances with partners, clients and opinion formers by building relationships based on mutual value. John has a degree in Economics and Social Psychology from Loughborough University. 

He also has a wide range of interests in the arts and culture, is a keen tennis player, sports fan and life-long lover of Welsh Rugby!

Marc Tomas obtained a Medical Degree from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. He is Board Certified in Cardiology, Sports Medicine and in Pharmaceutical Medicine.  

He is also a certified Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, Master Coach and Business Coach, certified from the Solvay Business School, Brussels. He gained several years of experience as a cardiologist at the University Hospital Erasme, Brussels, Belgium. 

In 1990 he joined UCB as Clinical Research Physician. In 1992 he was promoted Medical Affairs and Clinical Research Manager at Synthelabo Benelux. 

In 1995 he was nominated Medical Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb Belgium and 3 years later, Director Europe, Outcomes Research. 

From January 2001 until June 2003 he was appointed as coordinator of the evaluation team of the Belgian Commission for Medicines Reimbursement. 

In June 2003 he was appointed Clinical Affairs Director Europe, Boston Scientific Int. In 2004 he moved to GSK as Medical Director Europe, Critical Care Business Unit and was promoted 3 years later Executive Medical Director, GSK Belgium. 

From January 2009 to March 2012, he became Medical & Regulatory Affairs Director, AstraZeneca Belgium and Luxemburg. 

Marc was also international consultant from 2011 to 2013 for a leading company in the field of patient compliance. From 2013 to 2014 he was Head of Medical Affairs for Biogen Idec, Belux. *

Marc is currently Managing Director of the Health Access company, a consulting organisation committed to deliver competent advices and to support public and private life science organizations. 

Health Access has been selected in 2012 by the Brussels Region to lead an innovative project, the setting up of a unique academic clinical research platform in Brussels (Belgium). 

Since 2014, Marc is Medical Affairs Manager for MSD Belgium and currently acting Medical Director. 

Since 2011 he is founding member of the Institute of Coaching Professional Association (McLean Hospital, Harvard University Affiliate), while keeping his professional expertise as a consulting cardiologist at the Erasme Academic Hospital. 

He is since 2013 visiting professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Namur, Belgium, delivering teaching in communication, negotiation and networking and medication & society in Biomedical Sciences. He is also the coordinator of the ACTO research group (Access to Care & Therapy Optimisation) and Chair of the Clinical Research Group of the Pôle Santé Namur
